Project scope
As the senior product designer for JackSEO, I was responsible for the full design process of a web platform for creating and scheduling SEO content and social media posts. My responsibilities included information architecture, UX flows, UI design (with a scalable design system), and defining the product’s brand voice and tone of communication.
I also led the branding efforts – including the logo, color palette, typography, and the overall visual language. Additionally, I created a series of illustrations and lightweight animations using Jitter and Lottie to support the brand identity. These visuals reflect a playful, ocean-inspired aesthetic aligned with JackSEO’s mascot, an octopus named Jack.
JackSEO is built on verified editorial sources and helps users generate content tailored to their brand’s tone and platform needs, from blogs to Instagram and X. The platform was designed with personalization, CMS integration, and future automation in mind.

Project goals
The primary objective of the current development phase (which is still ongoing and one I remain actively involved in) is to deliver a robust MVP of the SEO content creation tool by September 2025. Along the way, we’ve already achieved several key design and product goals:
Personalized experience
Users can easily customize Jack to reflect their brand voice through a guided onboarding flow – or even by uploading a Brand Voice document. Jack adapts in seconds, offering a truly personalized start.
Making SEO accessible
SEO often feels like a closed, expert-only space. We focused heavily on UX to prove that creating and maintaining SEO content doesn't require years of experience – just the right assistant and guidance.
A scalable, future-proof design system
We created a modular and token-based design system from day one, ready for future features like dark mode or new tools beyond content – including PR and strategy. Jack’s ecosystem is just getting started.
Story-driven branding with a purpose
Jack the octopus isn’t just a mascot – he’s a metaphor. His arms stretch into every part of your content pipeline, pulling ideas from across the editorial ocean. Without the right tools, your brand can drown in a sea of content. Jack is here to keep you afloat.
